Pro Plus trial setup
Pro PlusWhen you start a Pro Plus trial - as a new pilot or by upgrading from Casual or Pro - PlaneWX sends a welcome note and shows a short setup checklist so you can turn on the features that matter. Set up what helps you. Each item checks itself off when PlaneWX sees it working.
PlaneWX is one input to your go or no-go, alongside your FAA briefing and your own judgment.
Welcome email
You get one welcome email when the trial starts (from Mark at PlaneWX). It links to your setup checklist. Double-activating the trial does not send a second copy.
Setup checklist
On Home / My Trips (and at /settings/pro-plus-setup) you will see a dark card: Welcome to Pro Plus, Day N of 14, and a progress bar. Counted items:
- Verify your phone - needed for text alerts. Pre-Flight Text help
- Turn on Pre-Flight Text - your WX Score by text about 30 minutes before departure.
- Turn on Auto-Briefing on File - file a flight plan for your tail and the trip and briefing are waiting. Auto-Brief help
- Turn on Ground Protection - hourly watch on a parked aircraft. Ground Protection help
- Connect Claude or Grok - when the PlaneWX connector is available for Pro Plus. Connector help
Optional and uncounted: Share from ForeFlight (iOS beta). That row never checks itself off.
Day 7 nudge
Halfway through the trial, if any counted item is still open, PlaneWX sends one reminder email and shows an accent line on the card. Your trial still ends on day 14 whether or not you finish the list.
