Getting Started

Welcome to PlaneWX! Here's how to get set up and start planning safer flights.

Create Your Account

Sign up with your email address. You'll receive a confirmation email—click the link to verify your account.

Complete the Onboarding Wizard

After signing in, you'll be guided through a quick setup wizard to configure:

Pilot Information

Your name, certificate type, ratings, and experience level

Your Aircraft

Tail number, type, performance data, and equipment (FIKI, autopilot, etc.)

Personal Minimums

Your ceiling, visibility, crosswind limits, and weather tolerances

Home Airport

Your base airport for regional weather summaries

Add Your First Trip

Click the + Add Trip button on the home screen. Enter your departure and arrival airports, date, and time. PlaneWX will immediately start monitoring weather for your route.

Generate Your Briefing

Tap on your trip card to generate a weather briefing. PlaneWX will analyze all available weather data and provide you with a GO Score and detailed analysis tailored to your personal minimums and aircraft.
