Pre-Flight Text
Pro PlusYour WX Score by text 20 to 35 minutes before departure, plus a link that opens the briefing without a login. Built for the walk to the airplane — not for sitting at a laptop.
What the text says
One short message. The score is a bare percentage, with no Favorable / Marginal / Unfavorable wording, and a link:

The link is a one-time capability URL. It opens a read-only briefing in Messages or Safari without signing in, and it expires 24 hours after scheduled departure. A 0% flight reads KDFW to KAUS WX Score 0%: unambiguous without band labels.
When it sends
20 to 35 minutes before each departure — timed with the T-30m refresh that just updated the briefing behind the link. Multi-leg trips get one text per leg. Quiet hours do not apply: you picked the departure time, so a 04:30 launch still gets the text.
This is additive to the iOS pre-flight check push (same 20 to 35 minute window; on by default under Profile, then Notifications: Pre-flight check; not plan-gated). PlaneWX does not send a Final Pre-Flight Briefing email. You can enable the text, the push, both, or neither.
How to turn it on
- Add and verify a phone number on the Pilot tab. Opting in without a verified number is a silent no-op — we cannot text you.
- Open Profile → Notifications and turn on Text me my final pre-flight WX Score.
STOP, START, and HELP
STOP ends all PlaneWX texts. Ground Protection, Pre-Flight Text, and Mentor texts share the same number.
START or UNSTOP lets texts reach the number again. PlaneWX turns back on programs from before STOP if that STOP was in the last 90 days; otherwise turn programs on in Settings.
